A few weeks ago the kids had a few days off school so we went and spent the night at my parent's house. I've decided that while I really enjoying being able to live close by and see my family whenever we want, it's not always as fun as when you live farther away and get to come and stay for a visit and really spend a lot of time together. So we we're excited to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's just like we were visiting from somewhere else.
The boys especially love it, they pretty much have the best grandpa there could ever be, and they love every minute that they get to spend with him. And even if sometimes he gets as excited as they do and wants to do things with them that make moms a little nervous, I wouldn't have it any other way. He's the best and we're praying every day that we get to make many many more fun memories with him.
So the boys got to go on a camp out with Grandpa. We made a fire and roasted marshmellows and then piled all the boys, well minus the littlest one, into the tent for a night of stories and fun. The boys lasted a little while and then came in to sleep in nice warm beds. Grandpa made it till early morning before he gave in and came inside.

I'm wanting to kick grandpa for stiffing it out for THAT long. Once the children are gone, the tent loses its homeyness, don't you think? Fun shots.

What a wonderful thing to do with Grandpa! I hope they get many more chances to build memories with Grandpa. The boys are getting so big!!
How come we were weren't invited? I would have left my little ones outside ALL night, though they'd probably not have slept at all. Think your dad could have handled that???
