Halloween

We did our pumpkins last week for family night so they were a little wilty this week, but thats okay :). Here are some fun pictures of us with the kids and their pumpkins, carved mostly by Aaron. We can't seem to get a picture pf Parker anymore without a silly face :) He loves pulling faces. Reminds me of some of the faces we pulled in family pictures growing up.

Halloween was definitely a hit at our house. We started it out with the ward trunk or treat where our costumes were a hit, and then Parker and I went trick or treating in the neighborhood for a few minute to top off his bucket :) Parker was a dragon and KC was a chicken. Aaron and I trades places, he the woman and I the man. It was a lot of fun. I love having little kids to celebrate Halloween with, they are so cute and it is so fun to see them get excited and have so much fun. Happy Halloween everyone!! I hope you had a great time too!!

The wait is over!

Well, the wait is over. Sorry to keep you all in suspense for so long :)
The verdict is.........................................................nope.
The sellers had no room to negotiate and their counter offer had no concessions of any kind, and was even higher than the original asking price! Granted we were asking them to pay closing costs, but still.
The best thing is we had all weekend to think about it and I don't feel disappointed at all. I don't even feel a desire to make a counter offer and stress about it anymore. The more i think about it, I actually feel a little relieved. We were going to be really poor, and now we can still be poor, but actually save money at the same time :)
SO anyways, sorry to lead you all on all weekend, but you have to admit, it was fun wondering what would happen, right?
So the search goes on, and in the meantime we can buy Christmas presents for the kids cause we won't be so poor.

Waiting....

I hate waiting. I don't really need to even say it, everyone who knows me well knows that I am probably one of the most impatient people on earth. We were hoping to hear back on our offer friday. Well, turns out the sellers are out deer hunting and were getting back tonight. But I guess at least we heard something. We know they are planning to send over a counter offer in the morning sometime, so now I just need to make it through the night :)
The hardest part of waiting for me is that I don't sleep well, and my appetite gets all messed up. I'm still the one awake at 2:00am christmas morning wishing everyone else would hurry up so we can open presents :)
So I haven't been able to sleep without sleep aids for the last 3 nights, and I think I've eaten maybe 1/2 days worth of food all weekend. And its been mostly chips and pretzels. Healthy huh. And my fingernails, at least what was left of them, are gone.
On the plus side we got to go back to the house on saturday and inspect it in the daylight and we still love it. And we met some of the neighbors and they were really nice. And we got to drive around town and check it out. Its a really cute little town and I think we will really like it. Its only about 25min away from work for Aaron. Commuting will be harder than his current 5min drive, but coming north on I-15 to orem isn't nearly as bad as coming south to orem from american fork or lehi, so it shouldn't be all that terrible.
We also went and checked out the ward today. It was a lot more established than I thought it would be. I thought it would be a lot of young families, but it wasn't. It was a very normal, large ward and the people were very friendly. I'm pretty nervous about the transition from young wards with most people our age, which is all we've been in since we were married. To a regular family ward with all ages and types of people. I've never been in a relief society that has more people older than me than not. So it will be a big change if we move. Anyways, its been good to have the weekend to really think about it. We've had a good chance to look over the budget again and think about how it really will all fit in and what we might have to do without for awhile. And we are learning a lot of good things from the "Home buying for Dummies" book we bought for Jake and Julie when they first bought their house. I'm more grateful than ever that they passed it on to us when they were done with it :) Thanks guys! It has a lot of good stuff in it. Anyways, enough ranting, I just don't want to go to bed because I know I won't sleep, but I'll spare you of my ramblings and let you know what happens tomorrow!

House

Well, we put an offer on a house today!!! Its a twin home in Payson. Only 2 yrs old. 2400sq ft, 2 car garage, 3 bd rooms, 2 baths, plus an unfinished basement with lots of room to grow. We are really excited about it and hoping that it works out. So cross your fingers with us!!! We've looked at a lot of scary houses in the last few months, so when we found this it was incredible. Although to get a fair price and something nice enough in our price range that we'd actually want to live in we had to go farther south than we'd planned, but its a nice small town and we'd get to get away from the orem/provo traffic :)

Anyways, we'll keep you all posted about what happens. I'm sure well have to counter a few times so we'll see. That reminds me, does anyone want to buy a piano?? I think we are going to sell our since I don't really play it all that often anyways, and we don't really want to move it. I'm kinda emotionally attached since I played it when I was younger, but I guess we all have to let go eventually.

Anyways, here are some pictures of the house for mom :) Sorry I'm not much of a photographer. But they are okay.

Fall cake and making cookies

Here is this weeks wedding cake. I had a lot of freedom with this one. She just wanted to make sure there were leaves and a fall design. Her flowers are going to be orange and yellow roses. I made all the leaves and the flowers on the cake by hand with a gumpaste/chocolate clay mix. So they should taste yummy too. :) The cake is paisley shaped :)

The other day we made cookies for halloween. I'm kinda lame and don't ever frost the sugar cookies. The kids don't know any better right now and it saves me an even bigger mess. But they sure had fun cutting them out and playing with the flour :)

Baby..

KC's new name for his binkie is baby. If it's not in his mouth, which is rare, he walks around saying baby baby baby while looking for it. Its sooo cute. Here's a little video I tried to make of him saying it. Viewer discretion is advised, KC fell off the couch head first at the end cutting the video short :( He sustained a cut lip from his little teeth, but otherwise there were no injuries. Sorry its so close up.
