So tired... little guy was playing and rolling around and next thing I knew he was sound alseep.

 We took the kids to the cemetery to see Dad's headstone and had some fun taking pictures while we were there. This way he can still be in the pictures making a goofy face right?

Video Mania

I was making a short video of Quintin today and came across a couple old home videos of our cute boys that made me smile. So naturally I thought you'd like to see them too. Up first is Quinn, proudly learning to sit up all by himself. He still has a fair number of tip overs but he's so happy when he can do it. He's also trying to crawl. Trying being the key word. He moves a little bit forward and a lot backwards and sideways still. A nice relief after our busy busy Clayton.

So the next video is Clayton when he was just shy of 7 months, one month younger than Quintin is right now. 

And then how can you resist this cuteness. Here is our little KC, look how scrawny he is!! I'm sure what we recorded that with, it's really grainy, but still cute.

And then there's Parker. I love remember him at this age, so sweet. And he's only gotten better over the last 4 years

Sometime when I look at these boys, all 4 of them with their crazy, busy, boyness, I feel so overwhelmed with love. I can't believe how blessed I am.

Our Homemade Christmas

So the other day I was at the store looking for some halloween decorations and found that Halloween was squished into one small aisle, on clearance, and what was the big section devoted to?? Christmas. I'm sure Dad is rolling over in his grave. He never did like all the shopping and advertising of stuff at Christmas time. So in honor of Dad, and our lack of finances and need for big gifts, we have having a homemade Christmas this year.

I'll admit I may be going a little crazy with ideas and plans, because that what me and my bipolar manic mind like to do, but I've found so many cute ideas and can't wait to make them all. I can't post them all of course since if you are reading this there is a chance that some of them could be headed your way, but I'll post what I can.

I've spent a lot of time browsing all the cute crafty blogs out there for great, and inexpensive ideas. So get ready to be inspired and awake the hidden crafter inside of you.

For starters check this out from The Idea Room

It's a magnetic silly faces picture. You take a picture of your kids and make magnetic pieces they can add to it. I thought this would be a great idea for a fun addition to the boys church bags.

So first I went to Home Depot and found some of this for only .95a piece. 8x12 sheets of galvanized metal. I'm going to glue a background on and a picture of each boy for each of their own boards. Then I'll get the printable magnetic paper and print the different parts and cut them out. Then I'm going to make zipper bags to attach to the back to hold the pieces and frame it up.I'll post the finished product when I'm done. So here is the post again of my lack of blogging. Forgive me, I'm going to try again to be better, but don't count on it.

Fathers Day

Father's Day this year is bittersweet with my own Dad being gone this year. It's so strange having him gone. He was such a great Dad, full of energy and life. And he was an incredible Grandfather. My boys always had the best time when Grandpa would come to play. He knew just how to entertain little boys. One of my favorite things was watching him be a grandpa. I hope that Parker and KC at least will have some memories of him and always know how much he loved them.

And Happy Father's Day to my Father in law Chuck. I've been blessed to have wonderful in laws. Chuck is such a great Father and Grandfather. We love when we are able to go visit and hope we can more often in the future.We love you Chuck and are so grateful for the wonderful example you are to us.

And our Grandfathers. Such incredible men. We are so lucky to have them in our lives and be able to learn from them and enjoy visiting with them.

And last but not least my wonderful Husband Aaron. He is the best Daddy ever. Our boys adore him. Thank you for being such a great Father for our children. For your example to them and for your love for them. You are such a blessing in our lives and we love you so so much!

Slater

Ok so there was some drama with the other blog to raise money for Slater's family that i can't really go in to but here is the new site.

The family and friends of Slater Holt are uniting to raise money to help with his fight to live. Please show your support! Anything can help

Slater H. Holt had a tragic accident June 10. He fell from his two-story, bedroom window to the concrete below. He suffered severe trauma to his head and was life-flighted to Primary Childrens' Hospital. He is currently on life support in ICU in a drug induced coma. Doctors anticipate he will stay in ICU for weeks then months for rehabilitation.

One of my Favorites

I recently got these pictures back from the photographer at this wedding. I think this is one of my favorite cakes so far. The wedding was at sundance and was so gorgeous. They had so many cute details, I love when I can be apart of a really fun wedding and my cakes can be displayed like this.

I was going through some pics on the computer today and came across these. My friend Evelyn took them after we had moved into our house. Aren't the boys so cute?! KC was only about 18 months in these and Parker was barely 4.

Battle of the Buldge

Ok, baby is 3 months old. I'm only down 10 lbs since his birth. Pretty lame considering I gained about 40 lbs during my pregnancy.

So I joined weight watcher and I've got to get motivated so I can lose weight, but able to wear my clothes again, and feel better in general. So I'm going to try to post on here about my goals and what I'm doing so hopefully you can help me be accountable and so you can give me some encouragement of  course :) I want to get back to the gym, but getting all of the kids ready to take to the day care is a little overwhelming so I'm going to start with what I can do from home. And since I spend most days laying around with the baby while the kids play any activity is better than nothing.

So I'm not going to tell my starting weight, lets just say it's a lot. Way to much. My goal this week is to lose 2 lbs and by the end of June be down 8.

What kinds of things do you do to help you stay on track when your trying to lose weight? and any good tips to keep me from snacking all day??

Father and Sons

AKA - Heaven, at least it will be in a few years when ALL the sons get to go :)

I remember when my brothers would go to the father and sons with Dad and Mom and I had so much fun having a night together without all of them. Mom was out of town this year so she didn't get to come hang with me, but maybe next year.Last time they went Grandpa went with them and the wind blew so bad they spent the whole time hanging out in the tent trying to escape all the dust, but this time the weather was perfect and they had lots of fun activities planned. Daddy even spoiled the boys by getting them their own slingshots on the way home. Not quite as fancy as the ones the Indians were selling, but still fun if your a boy and like to shoot things.

Four Corners

On our way home from Sante Fe we took a small detour to check out the Four Corners Monument. Ya, pretty boring. It's basically out in the middle of nothing. But it was fun to see and they had an Indian Market with lots of really touristy things for sale. The kids really wanted some tomahawks and slingshots or course and were pretty disappointed to leave without any.

New Mexico

Last weekend we loaded everyone up and headed to New Mexico to visit Kris and Ginna for a few days. We had the best time and can't wait to visit again sometime. Aside from getting to visit with Kris and family, the next best thing was that the kids were SO GOOD in the car! It took us about 11 hours to get there, split over 2 days, and 12.5 hours to get home (all in one day) and we had very little fighting or irritating stuff. We only had one incident of car sickeness that luckily was easily cleaned up, and we managed to do it without DVD players or millions of toys and snacks. It was amazing. And I managed to only get 1 speeding ticket (on the way home) what road trip would be complete without one?

 We got there saturday and just enjoyed the day together at their great house and the kids had such a good time playing together. I love that Max and Parker are so close in age, makes it really fun to get together. Just wait till they are all big enough to run around, it's going to be so crazy!

We really had such a good time. Thanks again for letting us come Ginna and Kris, I sure do love you guys. I wish we all lived closer to each other so we could spend time together more often, but at least we can visit.
