Our Halloween Highlights Part 1
Kc's Preschool Program--

Kc goes to this great little preschool. The best part is he gets to go with Kaylee, his very best friend. She's the cute Princess Tiana on the left. Kaylee lives next door to us and they play together almost everyday. When Kaylee isn't home Kc is watching out the window waiting to see her car pull up so he can go and get her. Kalyee has a big sister too that Parker really likes so together they all have a great time. KC and Kaylee have even been caught giving each other a smooch every once in a while. Good thing they're only 4 right?
Parker's Halloween Party at School --
I got to be a helper at Parker's school party and it was so much fun! I love being able to go and help in his class and get to know the kids he around and his teacher. I figure I need to take advantage of the opportunity now before the day comes when he's embarrassed to have me there. It's so fun to see how he interacts with everyone and you always feel bad for the kids that come and tell you that their mom's never come and that they wish they would.
We made cupcake spiders with hostess cupcakes and pull and peel twizzlers for legs. It was yummy :)

Then they got to wrap each other in toilet paper to make mummies, go pumpkin bowling, make a few other crafts and then that afternoon we came back for the classic costume parade.

There's more to come so be sure to come back later!

Grandpas are the Best

A few weeks ago the kids had a few days off school so we went and spent the night at my parent's house. I've decided that while I really enjoying being able to live close by and see my family whenever we want, it's not always as fun as when you live farther away and get to come and stay for a visit and really spend a lot of time together. So we we're excited to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's just like we were visiting from somewhere else.
The boys especially love it, they pretty much have the best grandpa there could ever be, and they love every minute that they get to spend with him. And even if sometimes he gets as excited as they do and wants to do things with them that make moms a little nervous, I wouldn't have it any other way. He's the best and we're praying every day that we get to make many many more fun memories with him.
So the boys got to go on a camp out with Grandpa. We made a fire and roasted marshmellows and then piled all the boys, well minus the littlest one, into the tent for a night of stories and fun. The boys lasted a little while and then came in to sleep in nice warm beds. Grandpa made it till early morning before he gave in and came inside.

Again?!
Most already know this, but since I'm updating the blog I guess I'd better post it. Baby Boy #4 is on his way! We're due March 11th. We had an ultrasound tech tell us at 16 weeks that we were expecting a girl (you can imagine my excitement) only to find out last week at the 20 week scan that it is indeed another boy. I had my heart pretty set on a girl, I mean come on already, I've only spent every day of the past 9 years praying for a daughter, but we sure do love our boys. So we're adjusting to the idea of another little guy around here and saving up so we can afford to feed them all when they turn into teenagers :)
In the meantime we're excited for another little one to join our family no matter boy or girl and know we will love him just as much as the others. Parker especially is excited, he was getting a little worried about what it would be like to have a sister. When the ultrasound showed a boy he was grinning from ear to ear. Give me a few more days and I just might be able to smile about it too.
Boo!
It's cool to just blog once every six months or so right? That's about the schedule we're on, maybe a little more often but oh well.
Tonight we had a great time getting ready to celebrate Halloween. We had our good friends Randy and Janelle and their kids Brinton and Holland over and made haunted gingerbread houses and pumpkin cookies. It was supposed to be for the kids, but I seem to have a little bit of trouble handing over the icing bag to the boys, so they got to help a little. Maybe next year we'll get everyone their own gingerbread house so I won't be so worried about them wrecking mine ;)

Haunted Masterpiece #2 by Janelle, Randy and kids

Clayton loved eating the frosting. It keep him busy and his fingers out of everything else at least most of the time. I think KC likes to just eat it too ;)

We've got a lot more Halloween fun coming up in the next few days so if your really lucky I might just post about those too. But only if I can find the camera cord to charge the dang batteries.

Happy Birthday KC!
Happy Birthday KC! 4 years sure goes fast. KC's birthday was lots of fun. We started the day with some yummy green birthday pancakes, then he got to open his present from us. A giant remote controlled dinosaur. All the boys think it's pretty fun and had a good time figuring it out together.
Then we went to swim lessons and then to the park for a party with friends. We took a bucket of water balloons thinking they would last for awhile but after about 20 secs they were gone. The kids still had fun playing in the water and chasing each other around.
After the party we got to go home and rest not nearly long enough and it was time to go to Chuck E Cheese to party with grandma and grandpa. The kids had lots of fun and we were all worn out by the end of the day.

Family Picture Time!

Back in march I did a trade with a girl I know. Wedding cake for her brothers wedding in exchange for some family pictures. I've only seen this one so far of the family ones, but I think it's pretty cute :) To see more go to http://captivememories.blogspot.com and scroll down till you find us :)
Silly Boys
Cake, Cake, and more Cake
Saturday I had 4 cake orders, it was crazy but fun. Cory and I did them together which was a huge help and we had a blast. We made a big mess and stayed up all night, but what kind of a cake day would it be if we didn't? Here are some pics during the night

And here are some pics of the after :)

Noah's baptism cake and cupcakes, if you look really close you can see Charlee in the back with a cupcake with a 2 on it, it was for her birthday but I made 2's instead of 3's on accident. Sorry guys!

Mike and Nadia's Wedding Cake
Mike is the little brother on one of my best friends. Kathryn. We grew up together in Colorado and have been great friends ever since. Wish we lived closer, thanks for letting me be a part of your wedding Mike and Nadia, it was an honor. It was hard to get a good picture with all the back lighting from the window, but it was beautiful.

Brooke and Neils Wedding Cake
Brooke is a friend of mine in our ward and neighborhood. She has 2 boys the same ages as Parker and KC and they love to play together. Brooke was such a beautiful bride and I love doing cakes for friends. This cake had quite the struggle just getting to the wedding in one peice, but it did and it was gorgeous.

Hawaiian birthday cake
This was just an order I got for a birthday cake for an eleven year old girl. It was a lot of fun to do.

Baptisms, Birthdays, Cake, and Cousins
Last weekend our nephew Noah got baptized so we had a lot of family coming into town. We were lucky and some even asked to stay with us. It was kind of a crazy weekend because I had a lot of cakes to do, but I'm so glad they came. We had so much fun visiting together and the kids loved playing.
On Friday Jared, Aaron's brother, was nice enough to take all the kids, minus the babies, to the park for hours. They took a picnic and some bubbles and bikes and had a good ole time out in the heat. Cory stayed at the house with me and we worked on cake all day. It was so fun to do cakes with Cory!! I wish she lived closer so we could do it all the time. We had fun looking through all my cake magazines and sharing ideas and tips. I learned a bunch from her and had a blast. Cory and Jared you guys need to find a way to move down here! We could have a blast hanging out.
Friday night Aaron's sister Sheridan came with her cute girls. We had a fun barbecue out back and the kids make smores on the fire and stayed up all night talking and running around. We had to get up really early to be ready for the baptism, but who says you need sleep anyway right?
Cory and I stayed up till 3:30 working on the cakes. Thanks again Cory for all your help, no way I could have done it all without you.
We had almost the entire family there for the baptism, we missed Issac and Sheila and their kids, but hopefully we'll be able to get together with everyone sometime soon. And congrats Noah, we are so very proud of you!!! It was also Jacob and Julies twins, Gavin and Charlee, 3rd birthday on saturday. So it was just a big party all around!!
