Eggs Anyone?

Meet the new ladies in our family.

We have 8 chickens in our backyard

We built their coop from scrap wood we had laying around and some materials we found in the dumpster by the new houses they are building by us. They are all only a few months old now but in another few months they should start laying eggs ; ) We are going to have way more than we can use though so if you live nearby you can expect to get some I'm sure. The kids are having a great time with them and I'm excited. I love a new adventure.

The Place to Be

So apparently our house is the place to play. Almost daily there are extra kids here, and usually their moms too which I love : )
We sit inside and visit and tend babies while the kids run around and play. We had to padlock the back gate so we could keep them contained in the yard, the little ones anyway, but they don't mind too much. The older kids run around exploring, building things, riding bikes and scooters, and any other things that sound fun and possibly dangerous ; ) The younger ones harass the chickens, fight over swings, take naps, make messes and just have fun.

I love living here. There are so many great people by us and I've made so many great friends that I absolutely love. You girls are so great. I love that everyone wants to come over here and that the kids like to play here. I always wanted to have the "cool" house. The place where all the kids want to play so that I know what my kids are up to and I can be in control of their environment. I hope as they get older the trend can continue. So if you're reading this, come over and play with us, The more the merrier : ) But bring some food with you, all these kids like to eat, A LOT.

Back to work

Time to start baking again!! I'm so excited to be making cakes again, it was nice to have a break during my pregnancy, but I'm looking forward to working again. Making cakes is so much fun!
When I decided to get started up again I went online to update my webpage only to find that it was gone, the url had accidentally been deleted when Dad deactivated some accounts online. I tried to purchase the same url but they wanted almost $1000 for it so I had to change it. But luckily after a few days I had it back online and everything is working great. Only problem now is that it isn't pulling up in searches very well yet. So if you have a log or webpage would you do me a favor and add my link?? The more sites I have linked to it the better it will come up in searches. Thanks everyone

I'm not sure how to make a button but here's my logo you can use and my webpage link

I'm in Love

This little man will be 3 months old at the end of next week, oh how time flies when your sleep deprived lol.
But really he is the sweetest boy, he has started to smile tons and is even trying to laugh a little now. So cute. We all adore him, but I mean look at him, how could anyone not adore him. He's getting a little better at sleeping, now I just need to get better at going to bed when he does so I can catch up on my sleep. Hopefully he doesn't follow Claytons example and start rolling around in the next few weeks, I need this one to stay stationary for as long as we can, or at least until I get the hang of having 4. It's a lot busier and harder than I thought it would be. But so worth every crazy moment. I love these boys, they make life so fun and joyful.
Dad stressed a lot about us having so many kids, I can't blame him, we're always close to broke and all a little crazy, but a week or so before he died he told me that above all else I need to remember that these sweet children bring so much joy, and that they are so special. He's so right. We love them. And don't worry Dad, we're going to do all we can to give them the best life we can, and to teach them what they need to know so we can all be together again one day.

And He's 2!!

Is it cheating for a cake decorator to buy their kids birthday cake at Walmart?

Clayton turned 2 on April 13th
Happy Happy Birthday Clayton
I love you

-my favorite thing about Clayton right now is that when I say "I love you", he says, " I wu u motest"-
yep, pretty much turns my heart to mush everytime

To Grandma's House We Go

The friday before Easter we decided to take an impromptu trip up to Idaho to visit Aaron's parents. We left at about 8 that night and got in at midnight. With 4 boys in the car we've decided that driving at night is the way to do it. They slept most the way and we got to enjoy the drive in peace and enjoy actually talking to each other and not having to stop to wrestle the kids. The boys had a great time coloring Easter eggs with Grandma Sue, hunting for easter eggs with their cousins, and playing all day. Grandma and Grandpa have a big big yard full of fun things to explore and plenty of room to run around. It's perfect for little boys with lots of energy. They also have no shortage of kitty's which was fun too. It was such a fun weekend and much needed vacation. It was hard to come home again. Hopefully this summer we can go up a few times and spend a few more days. Grandpa Chuck told Parker they could build a treehouse and you can bet he's not going to let him forget about it :)

The boys got fun straw connectors and glasses for Easter, here's Parker modeling them for you.
Thanks Chuck and Sue for letting us call 4 hours ahead of time and come for the weekend. We had a great time, we love you!!

Quinns Blessing

We've been busy around here! I've got tons of pictures to post but I'll start with a few from Quinn's blessing.
In the mormon church children aren't baptized until they are 8 years old, but when a new baby is born we gather to celebrate and give the baby a blessing to help them through out their life.
Quinn got to be blessed on Mothers Day. I can't think of a better way to celebrate the day than with the blessing of one of my sweet children. What a blessing they are to me and such an incredible gift.

Some of Aaron's family was able to come and be with us as well as my Mom and sister in law Lechelle. I started the day with a few tears that Dad wasn't there with us, but then did pretty well until we were taking family pictures and his absence was felt so strongly. And then again during the blessing itself as he has always be there to stand in the circle and help bless all my other children. I know he was there in spirit, but I missed him being there physically.

Aaron gave Quinn a wonderful blessing, how grateful I am for a husband who is worthy to hold the priesthood and who uses it to bless our family and those around him.
