:) Yeah KC! (:
This has been a long time coming, but finally, he did it! KC went to nursery at church for the first time in our ward and stayed the whole time all by himself!!! Its a little ridiculous since he's been in nursery since the beggining of the uear, but before even the mention of nursery brought tears and protests. But yesterday Aaron dropped him off and he played happily the whole time. The only tears were after I cam e and finished singing time and had to leave again. Usually after this one of us has to stay with him or take him to class with us, but not this time :) He recovered and had a great time! Whoohoo!! Freedom at last!

Castle Cake
Here's this weeks project. A princess castle cake. I think I've decided that birthday cakes just aren't my thing. I'd much rather do a wedding cake, I think they are easier. When it comes to a birthday cake or other celebration cake I just feel so uncreative. I'll probably still do birthday cakes if people want them, but I'm glad I don't get a lot of requests for them. This one was fun just because I haven't had a lot of chances to do cakes for little girls, so I enjoyed that. Id you look closely I used an impression mat to add a cobblestone appearance to the cake. It was a little tricky since it was done in buttercream and I would have much rather used fondant for all of it, but it was fun thing to try. The turets are plastic covered with fondant.

Sorry, I'm a bit behind with the blogging lately, just haven't been in the mood for it I guess. That and since we got back from Vegas there hasn't been a whole lot going on. We did go to Aarons high school reunion last weekend, that was fun, but I'm glad to be home and have no where that we have to go for awhile.
So I don't have anything new and exciting to post about, but I did get my photo cd from Evelyn today and so I thought I'd put some of my favorites from our sitting on here. I LOVE all the pictures and can't wait to get some of them up on my walls.
So here you go, enjoy my cute kiddos. Aren't they adorable? Blogger doesn't do them justice, you have to see the prints, they're great.

Cake Camp
Cake camp was awesome. I had so much fun and can't wait till the next time I can go to something like this. I only wish I'd been able to take more classes, but the ones I did take were so fun. Here are a few pics. Do you recognize these guys from the Food network?!?!?
Here I am with Norman Davis and Zane Beg!!!
Colette Peters!!!
It was so cool to meet so many people that have done so much in the cake business. I felt like I had finally arrived as a real cake designer, or as Norm says we should call ourselves, Sugar Artist. Everyone was so nice and willing to answer any questions we had and I learned so much from themHere we are at the big banquet we had friday night.
There are some more pictures, but not a lot so this is all I'm going to post for now. The rest are on my facebook page if you want to see them :)

Saturday morning I got the kids up bright and early to go have thier pictures taken. We went to the park by our house and Evelyn was our photographer. KC was such a goon, he did everythign he could to avoid having his picture taken, but Evelyn is fabulous and still got some great ones of him. Check out her blog to see the sneak peak!!!
