Well, sorry there are no trip pics yet, I'm having some problems with the disk that my brother gave me actually reading. So far the computer seems to think it is a blank disc, so tomorrow hopefully I'll get a new one and we'll try again.
KC has said his first words!!! It is so cute to hear his little voice. I just can't get enough of that kid. He is so adorable. His first official word other than Mommy, is Uh-oh. I hear this all day long. He loves dropping things over and over and saying uh oh each time. It is so cute. Although it does complicate meal time a bit. I have to remember to only give him one piece of food at a time or it all ends up on the floor with an uh oh after each piece falls. He has said one other thing but I can't seem to get him to do it again, he just laughs at me when I try. Yesterday Evelyn was over and we were getting ready to feed our babies luck while the big kids played in the back yard. Natalie (Evelyns baby girl) was getting some cut up banana, while KC was getting most delicious chicken and star baby food from a jar. Well I guess the bananas were more appealing because instead of letting me feed him he was reaching for Natalies food saying "nana, nana." You'd think hes been saying forever it was so clear and it was very clear that he wanted the bananas. So he was happy when the jar was put away and he got his very own "nana". I can't say that I blame him. Have you smelt that baby food? Yuck!
So I am very excited. I have a new program specifically for cake orders. Yes I'm sure the same thing could be accomplished using a spreadsheet, but I'm just not clever enough, or patient enough to figure that out. So this program is called Cake Boss. It lets you input your recipes and calculate all the costs. It makes invoices and tracks everything for you. I am excit4ed because I find that I usually under charge and end up paying to make other peoples cakes for them. This way I can calculate the actual cost, and input an hourly charge for my time. This way I can actually make some money!! I'll let you know how it goes. I have 3 orders so far for the rest of this month, 2 in June, and 2 so far in July, oh and KC's bday cake too. I'm trying not to do too much so that I can still give my family all the time that they deserve, but it is exciting to have a few going on. i figure every thing I do now helps me learn so when the day comes that my kids are in school and such I can spend my days with cakes. And since that day is years away I have lots of time to learn. Did you know that a cake by Duff (Ace of Cakes) starts at $500, and they run $8 a serving or more!! That's insane. I only wish that one day I could charge that kind of money. Wow.

Our Trip to Washington
We're back! Actually we've been back for almost a week now but we didn't have the pictures yet, since we are so smart and took our camera minus the memory card on vacation, and then we had no computer for a few days. But all is well now and we are back online and adjusted to being home finally. Last week we were in Washington State with my family. It was so much fun. My brothers were there and my parents and we had a blast. My Dad is originally from Washington and we haven't had many chances to go up there and see where he lived or even get to know his family really. So it was good to go see people we haven't seen in a lot of years. I think I can count on one hand the number of times I've seen my grandparents. I'm glad we could go and let them met the kids and it was really fun to see where dad grew up.
We got there on Friday the 4th in the afternoon and mostly just hung out. Since we were coming from different places (my brothers both live in Kansas City) we had different arrival times. I am so glad we were able to fly with my parents though. It sure was helpful with 2 kids on the plane, especially since it was the first time we have flown with either of them. But they were great! Big thanks to Grandma and Grandpa for takings us and helping with the kids. :).
So anyways Friday night we drove around Seattle pretty much lost the whole time, I can't even tell you how many u-turns we made on this trip. But while we were lost looking for the ferry, we came across the stake center where my Dad was baptised. It was cool. Dad is the only member in his family and he joined the church when he was 17, Theres a story that is pretty cool to go with it, maybe he can put it on his blog and then you can read it? So we took some pics outside the church and then drove around some more. The next day we took the ferry over to Vashon (sp?) Island were Dad lived when he was in High School. It is so beautiful!! It makes it hard to come back and live in Utah. It is just covered in trees and vines and other vegetation. We saw the grocery store Dad worked at and the house he lived in. We also went to the beach. After Vashon we took the ferry back over to Tacoma and went to the zoo. By the end of that we were all pretty tired, but the kids were so good considering. We then drove about 3hrs to Wenachee, which is east of Seattle. Dads family lives in Cashmere just about 10mins form Wenachee. We went to see my Grandparents and visited for a little bit. The train tracks are right next to their house so we took the kids and put pennies on the tracks. We were going to come back the next day to find them, but as we were just about back to grandmas we heard the train and went running back to the tracks. We found all our smashed pennies. ;)
So we spent the next few days visiting there and then on Tuesday night we got to go up to a cabin on Wenachee lake. It was fun spending the night up there, although not many of us got any sleep. The next day we went back to Seattle and Mom and Dad watched the kids while we all went downtown. WE went to Pikes Market and to a fun restaurant right on the pier. It was a fun trip and too much to really write but the slide show should give you a better idea. The best part was just that we all got to be there and spend time together. I love family vacations and wish I had appreciated them as much when I was a kid. Thanks so much Dad for thinking to do this and to my brothers for making time to come. I love you guys and miss having you close by.

birthday cake.
One of the girls I visit teach had a birthday so I made a little cake for her.. And since I had extra I made a quick little one for a guy Aaron visits too. It was pretty plain, but I only had a little frosting left.
Sleepy Boys
Let me just start by saying I absolutely HATE bedtime!!!! I love the kisses and hugs, stories, songs, and the little game we play with the blankets, but the actual bedtime itself I hate. Why? not because I just love my dear little boys so much I can't bear to part with them till morning, although I wish that were the case. I hate it because no matter how tired Parker is, whether he has had a nap that day or not, he will not stay in his bed!!! I can't lock him in because he practically breaks down the door, and wakes up KC with his screaming. (KC by the way falls right to sleep almost always, hardly and argument). What do I do???? The psych we went to with him suggested that we completely ignore him when he gets out. Act like he doesn't even exist. And that means if he falls asleep on the floor at our feet then so be it, he sleeps on the floor. He said eventually he will go back to bed and stop coming out because he isn't getting the social interaction that he craves. Do you have any idea how hard it is to ignore Parker? He demands attention in every way every where that he goes. We've tried it a few times, and the first night he was so happy to have free reign to watch tv with us, play with toys, etc.. that I think he was really happy to not have us bugging him. The only part that bothered him was when we had ice cream and he got none. Although he was climbing on our laps the whole time. Try ignoring a crying 3 yr old on your lap begging for ice cream. Try carrying on a conversation as if he isn't there at the same time. We eventually went to bed and left him roaming the halls of the dark house, whimpering, not sure what to do. Finally he took all the blankets off his bed and dragged them into our room crying for help to put them back on. I did get up and help and he went to bed then.It was after 11:00pm. Tonight he got up probably 6 times, needing water, a snack, go potty, and a bunch of other nonsense including wanting to floss his teeth. . Then he snuck into the bathroom, emptied a full, just opened yesterday, bottle of baby shampoo into the tub. Got my mascara smeared all over his face, and was stacking up his stool and the scale to climb onto the counter to get into who knows what else. Urgh!!!!!!! Some days this kid is so good I don't know where he came from, other days it's all I can do to keep my sanity. Tonight we started bedtime at 8:30, he finally fell asleep after 10. Much faster than usual, but we did spank him a few times to keep him there.
KC crashed so fast, when we went into check on them after Parker fell asleep this is what we saw. And then I fell in love with them all over again. How can they do that so easily after all they put us through to get to this point.
