In case you didn't see the side bar, I'm going to Cake Camp!! Its 3 days of incredible classes by the most amazing cake designers, most of which grace the Food network all the time. I'm taking an all day class from Collette Peters! Can you believe it, she is amazing and I'll actually be able to say that I got to learn from her! I'm also taking classes from Zane Beg and one lady I haven't heard of, but I'm sure shes amazing too. It will be so fun, Aaron will be going with me so in my down time we can hang out and see the sights. And the kiddos, well, they don't get to come but we'll figure that out later lol.
So when I get back I should be a real pro :), just kidding, but I'm sure I'm going to learn a ton and I'm so so excited. Most all of the great cake designers live far away from here and to go to them and take their classes would cost a small fortune, so this is an incredible opportunity. I even had a free hotel voucher I got to use so we only have to pay for 1 night at the hotel. Even better, makes up for some of the cost of the classes.
Thanks everyone for giving me opportunities to make cakes and letting me learn on you, your support is amazing.

Cake
Okay, sorry about the onslaught of new posts, this is the last one for today. Here is todays cake. i have one more saturday. Thie one took hours and hours but I love it. Its one of the funnest ones I've done so far. Better pics to come later after Evelyn photographs it for me.
I made all the blossoms by hand, that took the longest, but I love how they turned out.
Yard
Here are a few pictures of our yard so far. Last night we got most the top soil spread, tomorrow the fence is being started, and next wednesday we are getting sod! We thought about doing hydroseed, but our need for instant gratification won out.
This is the garden area, nothing is doing very well yet, so hopefully it will come around.
Heres the play area, i love it.
The side fo the deck, and flower bed, we have a lot of garden plants in the flower beds, squash, tomoatoes and stuff like that. The small raised box is strawberries.
Preschool graduation
I don't know if you can see Parker but he was peeking out the door and giving me the biggest grin before the kids came out. I missed the best of it with the camera though.
Getting ready to sing while they announced all the kids.
Parkers friend Kai dressed as Woody

Parker with his teachers, they were so great, we'll miss them when we switch preschools next year. we found one that is 5 days a week! Whoohoo!

I think preschool graduation is lame, sorry for those of you who don't, but I do. Maybe next year when Parker is actually really done with preschool and moving to kindergarten I'll think its cool. I didn't even want to go, and I tried to talk Parker into skipping it, but he really wanted to go. So here it is. It was pretty cute, and the kids were adorable. I guess it wasn't all that bad, just another excuse to watch kids do funny things :) And Parker loved it.
Here they are singing Tooty ta, it was hilarious. They did little bunny foo foo too, but Parker mostly just picked his nose through all of that one.
