I got stung by a wasp tonight. It was really scary. I hate hate Hate wasps and bees, they terrify me. This may seem ridiculous considering I'd never been stung by either before today. Now I'm even more scared, I may never go in the back yard again. The worst part was that it went in my shirt and stung my back, so to get it off me I had to take off my shirt and find it. Which meant actually seeing it touching me. I was pretty much hysterical, didn't help that Aaron wasn't home, and Parker was looking at me like I'd lost my mind.
On a brighter note
Kc had his 2 year check up today. 10% percentile for weight, no big surprise there, 75% for height. Not as tall as Parker was at this age (hes always been in the 95% for his height) but just as skinny. He had to get a few shots but since Aaron took him to the appt. I didn't have to see him cry. Not half an hour later he acts like nothing ever happen :) I'm not quite as tough as he is, its been an hour since my wasp sting and I'm still a little teary.

Parker's new friend
With Evelyn out of town this week, and us gone the week before we've had to branch out and make some more friends so we aren't too lonely. This little boy lives 2 doors down from us and Parker LOVES him. He's a few years older, which is why I think they play so well together. Its so nice for Parker to be able to just run over there to see if he can play. They love to swim in the pool, the best part is that Jesus loves to splash and run around crazy just as much as Parker does. They are a perfect match :) No crying or fighting, just lots and lots of fun.
They also really like to ride bikes together. I like that he's having so much fun, but on the other hand they want to go all over! Up and down the street, in the street, around the block, and so on. It makes me SUPER nervous. Parker has a helmet and we put up big orange signs that tell people to watch for kids playing, but still. Why can't they just ride around in circles in the garage? Urgh, and really, I can only yell at Parker to stay on the sidewalk about 100xs before I go crazy. And I don't want to not let him play. Good thing we don't have much traffic down here and he knows to look before he goes in the road. At least I hope he is. !
The only downside to our new friend is that his mom doesn't speak much english, and I don't speak much spanish, so we can't really communicate with each other. We're going to Jesus' birthday party this sunday and I'm afraid I might feel a little left out not being able to talk to anyone, at least Aaron speaks Spanish and he can be my translator. With so many hispanic families in our neighbrhood, I just might need to learn a little more spanish so I can talk to them. I guess I could say I wish they would learn more english, but maybe if we both try to learn a little more we'll have more luck :)
Here are some pics of Parker and Jesus playing in the pool.

Yeah for friends!!!

More Vacation Pics
Playing on the little rides at the mall in St. George. Who do you think was having more fun.

We found the cutest little cake shop and deli. I had to take some pics of the cakes they have on display, absolutely beautiful!
KC is his "boat". Most the time we were in the pool he either wanted to jump off the side and have someone catch him or he wanted to climb in and out of his boat.
The long drive home. The boys were so good on the ride. I was a little nervous about driving home 4 hrs by myself with the kids. But they were wonderful! It helped A LOT that I could put them on separate rows in the van so they couldn't bug each other. I think if we have more kids we'll need a bigger van so they can each have a row to themselves :)

Kc is so funny. I was driving when I took this picture, it was right after we got off the freeway by our house on the way home. I held the camera up over my head and took it hoping that I was aiming it right. I don't even say anything to KC about a picture, but he saw the camera go up and posed perfectly lol.

Dad's Grass
Sorry for the boring post, you can just ignore it, unless your my Dad, then its for you. This is not my yard, Mom and Dad are living in St. George for a while, and wanted us to go check on their yard for them. So here are some pics of the lawn for Dad so he can see how it's doing.

Look Dad, we pulled some weeds. This is just a small sample for you as proof. We pulled about 4x that.

This was the yellowest spot we found. The rest looked pretty good, and even this wasn't too bad.
