My new Baby :)

Sunday we welcomed a new addition into our family.

Her name is Ashes and she was born Nov 2nd. She is gorgeous! She's a purebred ragdoll kitten and I'm so excited to have her. Since she's just a baby she's a little rambunctious and not very good for lots of snuggling yet. But she likes to follow us around and climb up on our laps whenever she can.

It's taken a few days for Pumpkin to be okay about the new arrival but he's coming around and they've stopped hissing at each other finally. I don't think he's to keen on her chasing him around, but I think in a few weeks they'll be the best of friends.

I sure love cats and would have a whole houseful if I could lol. Better watch out, I have great potential to turn into a crazy cat lady when I'm old.

To my kitty...

Butter died this last week. He went missing on new years, I figured he'd just gone out wandering because he loves to do that. But then our friends said they saw a white kitty on the side of the road and when we went to look sure enough it was him. We think he must have been hit by a car.
Butter was the sweetest cat ever. He was even nicer than Star, but that may have been because I'm not a annoying kids anymore and I was a lot nicer to him. He was fat and fluffy and oh so snuggly. He'd let you carry him around anywhere, even the kids. He especially loved to sprawl out on top of the couch and let his head hang over the side. He was huge and he had gorgeous blue eyes. And I loved him. And I'll miss him. And poor Pumpkin is lonesome now without him.

This little darling is 8 years old today. Happy Birthday Maren. I miss you...
