Survival mode
Survival mode pretty much sums up how we've been living around here for the last few weeks. Kc got a yucky cold right after new years that he was kind enough to share with me. I developed a really bad sinus infection from it and as soon as I thought I was starting to feel better it turned into pink eye and then an ear infection that made me so dizzy! I went through 2 different antibiotics to get rid of it all and for a few days was actually starting to feel somewhat alive. Aaron and I even went on a date all afternoon yesterday. And then today I woke up feeling lousy again. Ugh, don't know what the deal is this time, dizzy, nauseated, achy all over. Its probably just the fun that comes with being in my third trimester now, but I sure am sick of being sick!! After we got home from church today at noon I took a bath for an hour and then jumped into bed and slept till 6:30. Its only an hour later and I think I could go right back to sleep already. But Aaron has been so good to me the last few weeks. He even took a day off of work to take care of me when I was at my worst. I don't know what I'd do without him, thanks honey!!! I'm sure he's getting tired of me always just laying around, but he hasn't complained at all about all that he's had to help with.
So I looked over at my little baby ticker and can't believe that it is getting so close!! I was having a hard time really getting excited this time around until my neighbors all started to have their babies (there are a zillion people pregnant in my ward all the time) Now that I've gotten to hold a few of them I can't wait for my own to be here. He's moving around all the time and is finally big enough that my ribs are starting to take a beating lol. I made some new bedding for his crib and am having a fun time decorating a nursery. Its fun to be in our own home this time and have a baby room that I make cute :) Now that the bedding is done I have the paint colors picked out and a friend that is going to help me paint a little mural on one of the walls to match the bedding. I can't wait to have it all done. KC's bed was in there, but we moved him back in with Parker since he didn't match the decor haha. We even got the big boys bunk beds to make some more room for them in their bedroom. We may not be getting any sleep anymore because they want to stay up and play, but at least there is enough room for all their toys lol.
Can you see the cute little animals? That what we're going to paint on the wall. And I got a great rug that matches. And I think we finally have a name picked out. We keep thinking we've decided and then I change my mind, but the one we are thinking about right now I really love so maybe it will stick this time. And I'm finally excited about having another boy. I think the 3 of them are going to have so much fun together. I think about my own brothers and they were always a lot closer to each other than to me. Even now I still feel like the odd one out most the time so I'm looking forward to the relationships they'll be able to have together and the trouble they're going to get into. (well, maybe not the trouble ;)) Plus, little boys are just so dang cute. They may turn into dorky boys, but at least they won't be as hormonal when they get older. And they won't ever need $300 prom dresses, at least I hope not...
So now we're going to try to get better and stay that way for awhile and that's about it. Its strange not having any cakes scheduled, but its a good break. I hope we have a good baby though so I can make lots of fun ones this summer and fall. We're getting ready for Parker's big 5th birthday next week and all he can talk about is what kind of party he wants to have. I can't believe he's turning 5!! He's getting so big, and talks our ears off all the time. When he gets that way I give him my phone and let him call grandma and grandpa :) He takes the phone and wanders around jabbering until they finally can't take it anymore either lol. Thanks for listening to all he has to say mom and dad, he LOVES calling you.
Anyway, enough of my rambling, that's it for us :)

November Wedding

Back in November I did a wedding for the nicest girl. She wanted to cake 100% gluten free, all 3 tiers. Her plans were to get married the day after thanksgiving and when I told her I wasn't available then she sent me a list of other possible dates to see what would work for me so that I could make her cake. Isn't that nice! How often does the bride plan her wedding date around a cake decorators availability. Thats one of the benifits of offering gluten free cakes even though sometimes they are a little more of a pain to make. You can't find them everywhere. I'd asked her photographer is he would take some pictures of the cake at the wedding for me so tha tI could hae some nice pictures. and he just sent them to me today. His name is Jared Hackett and he did a great job. I'll be adding his contact info to my website soon if anyone needs a photographer.

Take the house keys out when you shovel...
Ugh back to regular life again. Aaron started school again today and had to go back to work for his first full work week since Christmas. Since he's taking calculus after 10 yrs of no math he has to take a prep course first. Which means for the next few days he goes to work 8-5, then goes to class 6-9. Then gets to come home go to bed and do it all again. So the fun jobs like shoveling the snow and taking out the trash get to be mine this week. I don't really mind, but it sure will be nice when Aaron gets to come home at regular time again and I can let him do these things.
So today it snowed, a lot. A really powdery snow, but probably 6 inches of it and it's still coming down. So I went out to shovel (so the pizza man wouldn't have to trek through the snow to our door). KC wanted to watch from the window and Parker was upstairs playing wii with his friend Dallin. As soon as I closed the front door I heard a little hand lock it. Hoping he was just playing with it and would turn it right back I went about the shoveling and decided to worry about it later. I got about 3/4 done and the pizza man arrived. Yummm. I signed the credit slip and went to go in and the door was still locked. I rang the door bell over and over and over hoping Parker might hear it and come let me in, but unfortunatly when your upstairs in our house its really hard to hear the door. Especially when your jumping and screaming while wii boxing with your best friend. All the while KC was looking out the window at me saying "Come in Mommy!! Just you come in!"
I showed him the pizza and got him to come to the door, and after about 20 minutes of begging and knocking KC managed to unlock the door again. He kept trying but would unlock the handle and lock the deadbolt, or unlock the deadbolt and then lock the handle. Finally he figured out how to get both the right way and I got to come inside.
After dinner I went back out to finish the job, and redo what I had already since now there was another inch or 2 on it again. This time I took the keys with me. And the neighbors even saw me and came over to help.
Parker is also having his first sleepover tonight. Why I'm letting him do this I have no idea. But he really is much easier to deal with all day when he has a good friend to play with. So they were already playing and the thought of a long day again tomorrow was already tiring me out so next thing I know I offered to let him stay over. So we'll see if they sleep tonight, or should I say if I get to sleep tonight.
